And yes, of course, family is important and, for many people, it is the engine of their lives.

But in some cases that I see, what really happens is that family comes first at the expense of oneself. Sometimes, behind making family a priority there is a renunciation of oneself, conscious or unconscious. And if that is the case, it needs to be examined in order to be understood.

If family comes first at the expense of your own being, it is worth seeing whether something is beginning to break inside.

Because if this situation is sustained over time, that imbalance takes its toll. Besides, it is impossible to do it well because tiredness, disconnection and the feeling of giving without having anything to give from appear.

Sustaining others requires, first, sustaining yourself.

These Holy Week days have always seemed to me a good opportunity to pause after the first quarter of the year, take some distance, recalibrate and recover energy.

For many reasons, I have always considered Holy Week as an invitation to look inward and to be reborn.

Happy days of rest and reconnection.
